Turtle Rock is a gated family neighborhood on the south side of Palmer Ranch. The community has sidewalks, medium size lots that are lushly landscaped, some with lake and preserve views. There is a  community center, pool, tennis courts, basketball court, and nature trail. A five minute drive takes you to Albertson’s, Publix, Target, Blockbuster, Sarasota Square Mall, movie theaters, a newer YMCA,  I-75 and many restaurants. The public beach on Siesta Key is 10 -15 minutes away. The Post Office and a public library are about 5 - 10 minutes away. This is the Riverview High School District which is an excellent school system.
